South Africa is an overtaxed society where there is no substantive return on taxpayers’ investment. State incompetence and collapse all but guarantees that the revenue collected for state services would be better utilised had it remained in the hands of the productive sectors of the economy from whence it comes. The Free Market Foundation advocates a fair, simple, and low tax environment that respects the scarce resources of taxpayers.
Time to get serious about creating black wealth in SA
BEE allocates wealth inefficiently to the most politically connected black people and not necessarily to the ones who are most competent at managing the wealth so it can grow and be used to create employment.
Government is aiding consumption of capital stock
We cannot afford to engage in stimulus spending when we have such a consumption-based culture.
