The South African government’s proposed National Health Insurance scheme will ultimately nationalise all substantial aspects of South Africa’s high-quality private healthcare sector and subject it to the same collapse and incapacity that increasing characterises the public healthcare system. The FMF stands resolutely against this initiative and for the right to choose in health matters.
