Freedom and responsibility make out two sides of the same coin of liberty. A freedom without responsibility is precarious at best. The best way to ensure liberty is upheld is for individuals, families, and communities to realise that the problems that afflict them are theirs to solve, rather than outsource to political authorities. To choose outsourcing of responsibility gives rise to its opposite, rentseeking, which ultimately harms social harmony and human progress.
