This year, the FMF began a new chapter after a short period of instability.
Personally, it’s been both a challenging and rewarding experience to lead the Foundation since January and I am immensely proud of what everyone at the FMF has achieved in 2023.
As we look forward to 2024 and beyond, we are excited to share some significant developments that are underway at the FMF.
One of the developments that I am delighted to announce is that the FMF will be moving to a new home. Although our team is dispersed throughout South Africa, from December 2023 our
headquarters will be located at the venerable Northwards House in Parktown, Johannesburg.
Designed by the renowned architect Sir Herbert Baker in 1904, Northwards has an illustrious history as the home of two ‘Randlord’ families, the Dale Laces and the Albus. The property is today a provincial heritage site beautifully maintained by curator, Dr Neil Viljoen, and his staff on behalf of the Northwards Trust.
Join us for a short presentation on the history of the FMF and our strategy for the future. This will be followed by a relaxed cocktail function as we celebrate our new home with friends and colleagues.
I hope to see you there!
