Dr Morné Malan was featured on Politicsweb on the FMF’s call for widespread economic liberalisation.
Excessive regulation, especially in South Africa’s labour, education, and healthcare sectors hampers economic growth and impedes social progress.
In order to promote a dynamic economy, the government must reduce regulatory burdens across
the economy, enabling greater participation from private enterprise.
The core recommendations of the report to improve South Africa’s EFW score on free trade are to revoke tariffs and industrial subsidies adopted during the past parliamentary term.
