The fact that the DA is meant to be in charge of Basic Education, yet has been ignored by the ANC, shows a profound disrespect for the GNU.
Like the DA, Gwarube herself has no democratic authority to serve exclusively at the pleasure of the President.
If the GNU is to usher in a brighter future for this country, it must do all it can to end EWC, NHI, and BEE.
A ‘one-coalition’ state is not necessarily much better than a ‘one-party’ state, as the erstwhile National Front in East Germany and the so-called Unified Front in modern Communist China shows.
“Whom do we serve?” is the plaintive cry of serfs, of slaves, of the defeated.
Doing so removes its important role as official opposition, and risks exposing it to the corrupting influence of the ANC.
