Summary

There is reason to be concerned at the intention to introduce a new and unavoidably destabilising carbon tax at a time when the economy is struggling to deal with the effects of a major worldwide economic slowdown. It is disturbing that the tax is being introduced to deal with an issue over which, according to reports, there is increasing uncertainty amongst experts, most notably regarding the fact that predictions of warming have not materialised.
