In a 2002 letter, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper described the Kyoto Protocol as a socialist scheme to suck money out of wealth-producing nations, and voiced his support for the campaign to block the job-killing, economy-destroying Kyoto accord, says Investor’s Business Daily (IBD).
Unfortunately, Harper’s fears have been proven right, says IBD:
Agreeing with Harper are 60 leading scientists who wrote him an open letter, published in the Canadian Financial Post, asking him to keep his pledge to review Canada’s commitment to the Kyoto Protocol, claiming the science it was based upon was faulty.
So in the absence of sound science and the presence of demonstrable economic harm, what is driving the global warmers with such passion? Simply a passion for global redistribution of power and wealth, a la Karl Marx, says IBD.
