Stabilise rand by dropping forex controls

FACED with a falling rand, mounting inflationary pressure, chronic unemployment and lacklustre growth, SA is at a tipping point. When the Reserve Bank’s monetary policy committee met recently, it raised interest rates to save face but this move is likely to cause more hardship for the millions of people suffering under a mountain of debt.
